For the BWIN Bundesliga campaign, director Paul Geusebroek wanted to capture the raw authenticity and passion of Germany's football fans from the inside out.
To ensure the treatment communicated that intense, unfiltered fan energy, our studio carried out a deep dive into visual research. We sourced material across a mix of media to form a patchwork of fans' impressions: a dynamic variety of rapid-fire details, vivid characters, POV perspectives and rhythmic beats that reflected the real atmosphere in the stands. The results grounded the treatment in the gritty, street-level reality he was looking for in the film.
By curating research that felt alive, we contributed to a deck that promised to place the viewer in the thick of the football action. The final film is beauty and passion in a frenzy, a die-hard's fever of fraternity, euphoria and soul.

To ensure the treatment communicated that intense, unfiltered fan energy, our studio carried out an exhaustive deep dive into visual research. We sourced material across a rich mix of media to form a vibrant patchwork of fans' impressions; a dynamic variety of rapid-fire details, vivid characters, POV perspectives, and rhythmic beats that reflected the real atmosphere in the stands. We scoured everything from grainy smartphone fan-cam clips and archival 16mm footage to underground fan zines, street art, and documentary photography. Every image was chosen to evoke the tangible textures of German football culture: pyrotechnic smoke filling the concourses, sticker-covered light posts, rain-slicked concrete, and the synchronised movement of thousands singing in unison. The results grounded the treatment in the gritty, street-level reality he was looking for in the film.
Working in lockstep with Paul’s creative vision, we paced the deck to mirror the adrenaline pulse of the sport itself—building quiet tension, exploding into kinetic chaos, and landing in collective euphoria. By curating research that felt alive and electric, we contributed to a deck that promised to place the viewer directly in the thick of the football action. The visual language reassured the brand that Paul’s approach would be a genuine tribute to football culture rather than a standard commercial, and the final film is a beautiful frenzy of passion - a die-hard fan’s fever dream of fraternity, euphoria, and soul.
